Create Faith Cards to Strengthen Your Trust in God

Proverbs 4:23 CEB says, "More than anything you guard, protect your mind, for life flows from it."

As Christians we must take an active approach to combating the lies of the enemy. We have to do whatever we can to up root and dispose of them daily.

One very helpful way that I have found to do this is through creating my very own deck of Faith Cards. Faith Cards are essentially a stack of inexpensive index cards that you use to remind yourself of God's truths. On one side of each card, write a common lie of the enemy that you are having a hard time overcoming. Ask God to point those out to you if needed. On the flip side, search His Word and write out a verse that negates that lie. That is the TRUTH that you are going to stand on in order to overcome the lie!

Create cards as you need them to overcome any of the enemies lies that you are struggling with. What ever you are going through or facing in this season, creating Faith Cards can help get you through.

If we want to know God’s truth, we must also be aware of the lies of the enemy. And this is the perfect exercise to help!

Here's how I created my own box of Faith Cards!

Supplies: 12" x 12" scrapbook paper (I used the Faith collection by Echo Park), a cutting matt, xacto blade, scissors, tab punch, colorful index cards and a glue stick or glue runner.

I cut my 12" sheet of scrapbook paper down to 9" x 9" and followed the instructions from this Youtube video on how to make an origami box. I thought it was pretty simple and easy to follow.

Once I had the base of my box made, I cut another piece of scrapbook paper for the back. I used a glue runner to glue everything together. All of the embellishments are from the same Echo Park Faith Collection. I purchased their pack of paper, chip board stickers and their little pack of tags and frames from Amazon.

I used a tab punch and corner round punch to decorate my cards. I added torn paper and scraps and stickers for more embellishment.

I truly enjoyed making these and the best part is....they actually work! As I was looking through God's Word to locate verses to dismiss and dispel the lies of the enemy, I could feel my mood lifting, my perspective changing and a refreshed joy in Jesus wash over my heart.

If you haven't tried these yet, I highly recommend giving them a go! It's just one more tool in our Christian belt to fight the good fight and deepen our faith so we can continue forward as the hands and feet of Jesus!

I'd love to hear from you....have you made Faith Cards before? How did they work for you? Let me know what you think friend!

It's time to prepare and plan for a new month ahead! Be sure to take a little time to set up and fill in your monthly dashboard page as I have above. Use it as a guiding light and a focus for the month of April that you can come back to as a reminder each day. Take some time in prayer to seek what areas God wants you to work on or prioritize.....then write them down to help you stay on track.
